CyberAgent speeds up its business with ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex
Japanese group CyberAgent, which spans advertising, media and games, has deployed ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex company-wide. The result: faster decisions, higher product quality and secure scaling of AI without losing control over data. ChatGPT Enterprise provides isolated data storage, department-level access control and expanded usage limits, while Codex handles development work, speeding up code writing and review. According to OpenAI, the rollout noticeably cut decision-making time and raised the quality bar in content and software production.

Japanese media group CyberAgent has moved its key business processes to ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex, and AI now works across three major areas at once: advertising technology, media and the gaming industry.
CyberAgent is one of Japan's largest technology conglomerates. The company owns the Ameba advertising platform, the ABEMA video service and a gaming division with dozens of mobile titles. Bringing such a diverse business under a single AI solution is no trivial task, and this is where the enterprise version of ChatGPT proved the deciding argument.
ChatGPT Enterprise gives the company what the public version lacks: isolated data storage, department-level access control and expanded usage limits. Codex, meanwhile, handles development: CyberAgent engineers use it to speed up writing and reviewing code in gaming and advertising products. According to OpenAI, the rollout noticeably shortened decision-making time and raised the quality bar at the stage of producing content and software code.
The key emphasis is on the word "securely." Japanese corporations are traditionally cautious about external cloud services: data localization and corporate compliance requirements here are stricter than in many Western markets. CyberAgent says openly that Enterprise-level privacy guarantees were the main condition for scaling up, rather than running a limited pilot.
The CyberAgent case points to a steady trend: large Asian groups are moving from experimenting with AI to systematic adoption. When media, advertising and games run on a single AI platform, the gains in speed and quality become cumulative, with each product pulling its neighbor forward. For OpenAI, it is one more argument for the enterprise segment as its main growth driver.
